About Us Section Redesign
Restructuring and reimagining the company section of the Progressive website
Project Goal
To create a unified experience for perspective consumers and employees. Create a simple, clean and navigable architecture that syncs with upcoming brand standards and redesigned Prog.com. Allow for an easy way for stakeholders to own and update content
Responsibilities
Co-designer on a team of two, working with internal stakeholders across the Progressive company, including our Investor Relations, Careers, HR, Marketing, Art Department, Social Responsibility, and PR teams.
Research & discovery
Stakeholder interviews & site map
We held 1:1 meetings with several stakeholders whose content would be most impacted. The goal of each was to understand current content structure, audiences and key calls to action as well as existing redundancies and gaps.
We produced a larger Site Map following these meetings in an effort to meet stakeholder needs and integrate each section more seamlessly.
Findings
Opportunity to streamline content or minimize the duplication of content throughout this section and many others on Prog.com
Consistency issues throughout the design of About Us sections.
While our audit highlights many of the inconsistencies throughout the About Us section, our hope is to nominate a Champion stakeholder to own and control the content that resides within their respective sections.

Design & development
We created a new overarching "About Us” landing page that links off to all of the other child sections
Additionally, we standardized content structure and gave all child sections a persistent hero treatment that ties into Progressive’s Culture brand.
